Easter and Beyond

Litter Picking

Our next church and community litter pick will take place on Saturday 16th May. We’ll meet on St Thomas’ church hall car park at 10am and anyone is very welcome to come along and join in.

Fairtrade stall

Our next Fairtrade stall will take place in the church after the 10.45 service on Sunday 17th May. You can make a real difference to people’s lives by buying some food or gifts. Please try and support this worthwhile cause even if you only purchase one item. If you buy any fair trade goods from our stall, rather from the supermarkets, then you are helping to support Traidcraft who reinvest their profits into the communities of their producers. You can find out more about our support of Fairtrade on our web page.

Petrol cars in the UK generate a staggering 60 million tonnes of carbon dioxide every year, a major contributor to global warming. As a society we need to find ways to reduce this. As Christians we should be taking the lead. Caring for God's creation should always be our priority. With this in mind why not look at car sharing when coming to church on a Sunday? If you know a member of the congregation who lives near you ask them if they'd be willing to share the transport responsibilities? ... See MoreSee Less
